Findings

2011 Citizens League Listening Session Findings
How do diverse communities in the Twin Cities experience and plan for end-of-life decision making? In 2011, eleven focus groups with a total of 49 persons from differing backgrounds and perspectives reflected on end-of-life care conversations and preferences. What motivates people to plan ahead and have family conversations on end-of-life wishes? What are barriers to this conversation? How can we begin this family dialogue in a sensitive, caring way? This report by the Citizens League captures the store-telling experiences through in-person and online conversations. We invite you to explore a host of illuminating insights, seven key findings and implications for future  efforts that arose from simple acts of sharing stories about life experiences.
